How do I become a member of Lokalanka Fitness?
You can register online through our website or sign up directly at the gym. We currently offer package deals of 5, 10, 15, or 20 sessions for both jiu-jitsu and all other classes. You’ll get access to our gym in Ahangama, classes, and trainers who will guide your fitness journey. Please arrange package deals directly at the gym.
Do you offer short-term passes?
Yes, we offer daily, weekly, and monthly passes designed for surfers, travelers, and digital nomads who are only in Ahangama for a short stay.
Can I freeze or cancel my membership?
Yes, freezes are possible with advance notice. We aim to keep memberships flexible for your lifestyle.
Are there discounts for groups or couples?
It works out cheaper for couples or groups for private sessions only. Please ask at reception or check our social media for the latest offers.
How can I see the class schedule?
The latest schedule is available on our booking system and updated regularly on our website.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, especially during peak hours. Booking ensures you have a spot reserved in your chosen class.
What kind of classes do you offer?
We offer HIIT, mobility, combat training, strength-focused classes, and more. There’s something for every fitness level — from beginners to advanced athletes.
Are your classes beginner-friendly?
Absolutely! Our trainers adapt exercises so everyone can participate safely, whether it’s your first workout or your hundredth.
How long are your classes?
Most classes are between 45–60 minutes, designed to deliver maximum results in a focused timeframe.
Do you offer one-on-one personal training in Ahangama?
Yes! Our certified trainers create personalized programs tailored to your goals — whether that’s fat loss, muscle gain, or endurance improvement.
How do I book a personal training session?
You can book by speaking directly with our trainers at the gym or messaging them to arrange your sessions. Contact details are available on the website, or you can reach out via social media.
Do you create nutrition plans with personal training?
While we are not licensed nutritionists, we provide general guidance to support your fitness results alongside your training plan.
Can I combine personal training with group classes?
Definitely. Many members use a mix of personal training for focused progress and group classes for motivation and variety.
What equipment is available at Lokalanka Fitness?
We offer free weights, kettlebells, and functional training tools for HIIT and mobility workouts. We also have gloves and shin guards available for rent.
Do you have showers or locker rooms?
Yes, clean showers and lockers are available to all members.
Is the gym air-conditioned?
No, we combine open-air training with ventilated areas to create a comfortable tropical workout environment, surrounded by beautiful jungle views.
Do you have Wi-Fi available?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available for members who want to stay connected before or after training.
Can I bring my own equipment?
Small items like yoga mats or straps are welcome, but our gym is fully equipped, so you won’t need much.
How do I book a class?
Bookings can be made easily through our online system, accessible from the website. Just select your class and confirm your spot.
Do you accept online payments?
Not at the moment. We’re currently exploring payment providers in Sri Lanka to enable online payments. At the gym, you can pay with cash or card — just speak to the coach or manager.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel at least 12 hours before your class to avoid charges. This allows us to offer your spot to another member.
Can I pay in foreign currency?
For international travelers, we accept credit/debit card payments in major currencies. Please check with us at the front desk.
Do I need to pay a deposit for classes?
Not usually, but deposits may be required for special workshops or limited-capacity events.
Where is Lokalanka Fitness located?
We’re located in Ahangama, Sri Lanka — just minutes from the beach.
Do you have parking available?
Yes, we offer parking for bikes, scooters, and cars nearby.
What are your opening hours?

How do I get to the gym from Weligama or Galle?
We’re right on the main road, easy to reach by tuk-tuk, bus, or scooter from nearby towns.
Is the gym close to surf spots?
Yes! We’re just a short distance from Ahangama’s famous surf breaks — perfect for balancing training with surf sessions.
I’m visiting Ahangama. Can I train at Lokalanka?
Absolutely! We welcome tourists, surfers, digital nomads, and expats with flexible daily, weekly, or monthly passes.
Do you offer group classes for beginners?
Yes, many of our fitness classes in Ahangama are beginner-friendly and easily adapted by our trainers.
Can I train for just a week?
Yes, short-term packages are available and perfect for travelers.
Do you have classes in English?
